Kelly Hennings

Owner/ Speech Language Pathologist

Kelly Hennings knew she had a passion to help kids communicate from the 5th grade. Her “book buddy” who was in Kindergarten was deaf, but Kelly loved watching and helping her learn to read. She earned a Master’s degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Valdosta State University. She has almost 10 years experience in both public school and outpatient clinic settings. Kelly is a member of the American Speech and Hearing Association and licensed in the state of Georgia and South Carolina. Her specialties include articulation, language, autism and social/pragmatic disorders. 

When she’s not in the office, Kelly enjoys spending time with her husband, Wes and daughters Hogan, Pippa and March. She is active at her church where she serves on the digital team and leads the children’s choir. She also loves to travel and attend the theater.

 

Leah Monroe

Speech Language Pathologist

Leah is licensed in Georgia and South Carolina and holds a certificate in clinical competency from ASHA. She has spent time as a pediatric, travel and a medical speech therapist. She has returned home, back to what she loves as a pediatric therapist. Leah received her Bachelor’s and Master's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from South Carolina State University (SCSU). She has an ample amount of experience working with expressive/receptive language, cognitive, speech motor, articulation and swallowing disorders. Leah’s primary interests within her scope of practice are early language learning, feeding aversion, and swallowing disorders. Leah practices the golden rule of Patient First Care, in all interventions. Leah frequently completes continuing education courses to maintain the most up to date research and clinical practices.

Outside of work/clinic life, Leah is a major foodie and loves to try all the new restaurants, old restaurants, and local food trucks. Leah loves to travel, not only to site-see but to indulge in much needed self-care and learn all about different cultures. Leah also loves to spend time with her friends and family as often as possible for good
laughs and even better company.

 

Katherine Craft

Speech Language Pathologist

Katherine is licensed in the state of South Carolina and holds a certificate in clinical competency from the American Speech and Hearing Association. She has spent time as a pediatric therapist in elementary schools and early intervention. Katherine received her Bachelor’s and Master's degree in Communication Sciences and Disorders from Valdosta State University (Go Blazers!) Her areas of expertise include early language learning, articulation, phonological processing, and issues related to the deaf and hard of hearing community. Katherine’s favorite thing about being a speech pathologist is watching children gain confidence as their skills grow.

Outside of work, Katherine loves to hand out with her new husband and their dog Lizz-e, take walks, read and bake sourdough bread.

 

Megan Costo

Speech Language Pathologist

Megan earned her degree in Psychology from Georgia College and State University and her Masters in Communication Disorders from the University of Alabama. Megan specializes in early intervention, autism spectrum disorder, Augmented and Alternative Communication and language development. She has her certificate of clinical competency from the American Speech and Hearing Association and is licensed in both Georgia and South Carolina. She especially loved helping children communicate and watching them being able to interact with the world around them.

When she is not working, Megan loves to read, travel, swim and hike with her husband and dog.

 

Adriana Looney

Speech Language Pathologist Assistant

Adri graduated from Columbia College in 2012 with a B.A. in Speech Language Pathology. She is a member of the South Carolina Speech and Hearing Association. When asked why she wanted to be a therapist, Adri replied “ I’ve always known that I wanted to be in a field where I could help and teach; in addition to speech therapy, I considered nursing, teaching, and music therapy. After completing various internship and shadowing in both high school and college, I concluded that speech therapy was the best choice for me!” Adri has more than 10 years experience in the public school system and private clinic settings. Her areas of expertise include early language learning, autism and speech sound disorders.

Music plays a big part in Adri’s life as she loves to sing and write music, play the piano and is learning guitar. She also enjoys biking, traveling, cooking, reading and spending time with her family and friends.
